Supervisory Safety and Health Duties Class May 16-17, 2002
The University of Washington is presenting a 16-hour class May 16 and 17 on Supervisory Safety and Health Duties. Although this is not an OSHA
Training Institute numbered class, the course is based on OSHA 600, "Collateral Duty for Other Federal Agencies." It is for nonfederal supervisors
entrusted with collateral duty safety responsibilities who have limited training in
safety.
Topics to be covered are the OSH Act as well as OSHA publications,
inspections, violations, and citations. It will also discuss safety and
health organizations, standards, safety and health hazards, accident
investigation, machine guarding checklist, and Alaska Administrative Code, Title 8. The course credit is 1.6 CEUs.
Enrollment will be limited to 35 attendees.
The course will be held in the Prince William Sound Room at Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, 1835 South Bragaw, Anchorage. Dates are May 16
and 17, and times are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. Alyeska security procedures require attendees to display a driver's license and to permit a background check.
Fee for the course is $198.00 per person. For groups of three or more, the fee is reduced to $178.00 per person.
